Dan Bridger is a professional thief, a cold, efficient man who works alone and tries to live an uncomplicated life. But things get complicated when a woman calls from Seattle and tells him that Seth, the younger brother he hasn't seen for several years, has been murdered. Bridger flies to Seattle and finds out that Seth, a probation and parole officer, was shot to death in a parking lot. The local police dismiss it as a gang killing. But things don't add up.
