Book
"Think about how many people need help and do not have family members to speak for them or take care of them. Think about how you can make a positive difference in someone's life: Volunteer: Become A Caregiver. Learn how to protect yourself, your family and your children from Traumatic Brain Injury. Protecting the Elderly is so vital and important. Learn the Causes and Signs of Eldercare Abuse and help STOP IT! Use this book as your guide. This book is dedicated to two of the most amazing women in my life: My sister, Marcia Wallach who died from traumatic brain injury on July 8, 2010 and my mom, who made me strong, kind, responsible and caring: Ruth Swerdloff who passed away on March 7, 2010. My mom had Alzheimer's and many other heart related illnesses. She was my voice growing up and I was hers for the past 10 years. If I had to do it again I would. Special thank you to the nurses on 9 North and 8 North in Albert Einstein Hospital in the Bronx for taking care of my mom and showing such understanding and compassion to all of your patients. To Daria Smith the nurse case manager and Anne the manager on 8 North you are so special and thank you for understanding my mom's needs and helping me when I needed your assistance. The proceeds from this book will go for patient care and research for those with Alzheimer's Disease and research for a cure at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx." --Page [4] of cover.
